Celebrate International Day of the Dog in Dorset, 27 April 2008

Dorset Dog Listeners support International Day of the Dog (IDOD), an annual event, founded by Jan Fennell, The Dog Listener, to celebrate dogs, man's best friend, all over the world. Read Jan Fennell's message about this year's IDOD on the official website for the International Day of the dog.

Every year IDOD focusses on a particular topic and this year the aim is to raise awareness for Rescue Dogs and the tirelss work of Rescue Organisations.

You can take part too... do something special with your own dog on 27 April, get together with other dog owners for a walk or if you're not a dog owner yet, visit one of your local rescue centres, there are plenty of dogs out there looking for a caring home.
